Minor Educated

Where Seeing Is Believing

Minor Educated:

Often times people of color are misrepresented or underrepresented in schools, media, and in everyday life. Most adolescence are not only exposed to these images but there are a lot of them that don’t have mentors or role models to show them anything different. It is our social responsibility to replace and combat those images and represent our people in a positive light.

Minor Educated(M.E.) was created to help bridge the gap. Every child of color deserves to see their people accomplish great things. M.E. allows them to explore their possibilities as they enter the world and attend school daily. Our products are designed to provide hope and spread motivation and inspiration to our youth. Positive representation matters and that is what M.E. is here to provide

The meaning behind the name:

The name of our business represents minorities and minors of all types, shapes, and sizes and captures the essence of all of our Brown Sugar Babies. Educated implies the restructuring of what we deem as normal in our society and for them to understand that there is more than what meets the eye. The abbreviation –M.E. aids the youth in understanding that these products are designed for“ME” and are manufactured by people that look like “ME”. Seeing is truly believing which makes Minor Educated, LLC truly one of a kind.

The Owners:

Hello beautiful people, we are the Williams Family! I’m Josalind Williams and many know me as the “hard worker”. I have a bachelors degree in business administration along with my MBA. My husband on the other hand, Jeffery Williams, loves to play football and has played semi pro for 10+ years now. Oh, and did we mention that we are high school sweethearts?

Throughout our relationship we have supported each other in every venture that we have taken on. This venture is by far our biggest adventure yet! Raising 3 girls –Aaliyah, Sanaa, and Journi isn’t easy but we somehow make it look good. We pride ourselves in teaching them about their culture and raising them to pursue their wildest dreams.
